One of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans is March Madness and for good reason. The top 68 teams in men’s college basketball compete for the coveted NCAA Championship. While some of the best college basketball players display their athleticism in the upcoming tournament, cheer them on from a bar stool at a local watch party! Check out our list of the best places to watch March Madness in Chicago this year.

The Fifty/50 – 2047 W Division
Located in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, The Fifty/50 has been voted as one of the best sports bars in the US! Enjoy $16 domestic beer bucket specials as well as $20 craft beer buckets as you watch the tournament on any of the bar’s 25 TVs. You can also splurge on shots for a good cause. Fireball shots will be $5 and Vegas bombs are only $6 with $1 from every shot purchase going to the charity Hear the Cheers. These specials include The Fifty/50’s regular Happy Hour specials and will go on all through March Madness.

Federales Tequila & Tacos – 180 N Morgan
Dig into barbacoa-style tacos and fresh seafood ceviche at Federales’ beer garden for your March Madness watch party this year. If the weather is nice, they even have a giant retractable roof so you can delight in the unseasonably warm Chicago sunshine while watching your favorite college basketball team. As an added bonus, Federales will have $20 buckets of Tecate, Modelo, Miller Lite, Corona, and Budweiser. If you can play hooky from work, they open at 11 a.m. on Fridays.

Benchmark – 1510 N Wells
Spend tournament time at Old Town’s Benchmark, with $10 mini burgers with a side and $25 domestic buckets. Enjoy the games from the sports bar’s huge patio or roof deck if Chicago weather allows. With multiple TVs and a lively atmosphere, it’s no wonder Benchmarks is known as one of the best daytime bars in Chicago.

Park & Field – 3509 W Fullerton
This retro sports bar is located in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood and offers an “old school gymnasium aesthetic.” The menu offers far from typical bar food with offerings like quinoa cake sliders, chicken and dumplings, and polenta fries. If you bust your bracket early and get tired of watching, there is a 6,000 square foot patio with bocce courts, an outdoor camper bar, and fire pits perfect for making s’mores.

The Scout Waterhouse + Kitchen – 1301 S Wabash
It’s an all-day watch party at Chicago’s The Scout in the south loop. The menu at Scout is inspired by a “classic American road trip” and their signature grilled cheeses are not to be missed. What is March Madness without chicken wings? The sauce options at The Scout range from barbeque to “friggin hot.” There are also TV’s located at every corner so you can catch every game.
